About Maverick

Maverick McNealy is a 26 year old professional golfer, playing his third season on the PGA Tour. Maverick was a former San Jose Junior Sharks hockey player through high school, where he attended the Harker School in San Jose, California. He is the oldest of 4 brothers and currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada for the 20 weeks a year he is home!!

In 2013, Maverick decided that smashing drives was a better path than getting smashed into the boards on the ice rink, and earned a spot as an unranked junior golfer on the Stanford Men’s Golf team. Maybe Coach Ray had a soft spot for other hockey players, because Maverick only received one other Division 1 offer to play before Stanford! In four years, he earned a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering and eleven collegiate victories, tying a program record… Learn More

THE IMPACT OF YOUR GENEROUS CONTRIBUTIONS

A few of the amazing things Curriki has done this year are:

R

Launched several partners such as Katy ISD, Baylor University, and First Tee!

I just renewed my pledge to donate $100 for each birdie I make

THIS IS THE YEAR WE GET TO $1M!

I couldn’t be more excited to get going in 2022!

I just renewed my pledge to donate $100 for each birdie I make this season! I made 352 last year, and Birdies has raised $877k so far.

Making a difference in education is something the Curriki team and I are very passionate about, and we wouldn’t be able to make this impact without all of your generous contributions of all sizes.

Maverick’s Road Ahead

Birdies Season 4:
Vivint Houston Open

pending: The Sentry Tournament of Champions

pending: Sony Open

November 8-14, 2021, Houston, TX
The Houston Open has been played at several Houston venues over 75 years. Memorial Park Municipal Golf Course hosted The Houston Open from 1951-1963, and it returned in 2020 after a Brooks Koepka and Jim Crane renovation. The Par-70, 7,432-yard course is Texas’s top-rated municipal golf course. The signature hole is #15, with a 180-yard carry over a tree-lined pond with a fountain, to a green with a left side bunker.

January 3-9, 2022, Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii The Sentry Tournament of Champions is the PGA’s calendar-year opening tournament held during the first week of January and, since 1999, has been played over the Plantation Course at the Kapalua Resort. Its field is restricted to golfers who won a tournament on the tour during the previous calendar year. Unlike most PGA Tour events, it is a Par-73 course at 7,411 yards. The signature hole is #18, 663-yard Par-5. The tumbling downhill terrain at Kapalua provides golfers the chance to chase their drive before knocking a fairway metal down the sloping short grass that filters balls in towards the green.

January 10-16, 2022, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii The Sony Open in Hawaii, formerly The Hawaiian Open, is hosted by Wai’alae Country Club. Wai’alae is the historic site where Kamehameha the Great beached his “warships” and battled the people of Oahu to unify the islands under his rule. Founded in 1927, and designed by Seth Raynor, it is a 7,125 yard, Par-72 championship course. The signature hole is the Par-3 #8, which is bordered along its full 186 yards by the Pacific Ocean.
